Use of whole bamboo as a structural material is an old concept. Keeping these traditions and upgrading it with modern materials and incorporating best practice models from around the world is the key to sustainable bamboo construction. Various such projects involving Design Prototyping, Demonstration structures etc and training were carried out for projects under National Bamboo Mission, Dept of Science and Technology, GOI and others. The works has been executed through the Cane and Bamboo Technology Centre, Guwahati.
